Meet Our Advisor:
Dr. Emrah Celik
Dr. Emrah Celik earned his doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona in 2010, specializing in nanofabrication and nanomechanics. After completing his PhD studies, Dr. Celik pursued postdoctoral training at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and applied his expertise in nanotechnology on biophysical characterization of proteins and tumor cells. He has been a faculty member of the University of Miami College of Engineering since 2014 and the advisor of the local chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers since the summer of 2016. Dr. Celik conducts research on biophysics-based cancer detection systems, thermoelectric generators, and renewable energy generation via organic waste recycling.
